Solar
Garden Lights: Using the latest technology available, our solar
garden lights are made from aluminium with a rustic green
verdigris coating to blend in to it's surroundings. Optimum performance
with six LED Lights make it the best for garden
and solar landscaping lighting. They have a larger solar
panel, six LED lights and four rechargeable batteries (each is 1400mA).
With no maintenance except changing the batteries every year or
so, these LED solar garden lights will outlast all others. Note
bulbs last at least 10 years.

Solar
garden lights charge up during the day, light up automatically
when the sun goes down, and stay on all night. They have six new-generation
high-spec LED (light emitting diode) bulbs which last for years,
making them the most powerful LED garden lights available - and
all at a very reasonable cost! We use the latest LED and solar technology.
This new generation solar light is designed for peak performance
in the first four hours, with a bit less light as the night wears
on.
Our
solar lights are available in either Amber or White light.
Amber coloured lights sometimes look better in a garden situation
where you do not want harsher white light.
Dimensions
The
top where the solar panel is located is 180mm in diameter (7 inches)
of which the solar panel area is 125mm in diameter (5 inches). The
top (head part) is 190mm high (8 inches).
The
stake is in two parts that simply screw together making it 16 inches
long (400mm), so that when it is in the ground the lights stand
about 12 inches above the ground (300mm). Of course if you want
it higher you can put it on top of post, etc. (note the stake comes
standard with all lights).
Technical
Information
Please
note the brightness of LED's is not measured in watts - the measurement
used is 'mcd', which means 'micro candle light'. The power of each
bulb is about 3500 mcd and the entire light is 15000-18000 mcd (depending
if amber or white and the amount of charge). They are powered by
four rechargeable 1400mA Nicad batteries (AA size). The batteries
are easily replaceable. They take four AA size rechargeable batteries,
the same as a torch or flashlight. The batteries should last about
1.5 to 2 years and are sold by us or any other shop selling rechargeable
batteries - it is ok to use more powerful NiMh batteries also.
(Note:
All garden LED lights have batteries that need to be replaced at
least every two years - some designs make it difficult to change
the batteries but these cheaper models will not last 2 years in
any case).
Installing
your garden light
To
mount on a wall or fence, a matching aluminium mounting bracket
is available. The garden light simply screws into the mounting bracket
(don't worry, it goes together in two minutes). It's simple to move
the solar light to different areas of your garden.
Easy
to install, have one going in two minutes (ok, the first one may
take five). It all fastens together needing no wiring – just
place it in the ground (mounting stake included) or it screw to
the wall (all mounts and screws are supplied for wall-mounting).
Durable and weatherproof, the special LED bulbs last at least ten
years and never need to touched. Available in Amber or White. Rechargeable
batteries inside can be changed every 1.5-2 years.
There
are now many different companies selling solar LED lights and some
of them offer very poor quality. Please note that ours are the best
